Purpose in Exile

Many Indonesians find their way to the US for education or work. Living away from home, they find themselves as strangers in exile. During last year's OMC, people learned about the search for significance. We learned that significance is an innate desire in all of us and can only be found when we fulfill God's calling in our lives. While we've learned about this concept, trying to live it out practically can be challenging.

As Indonesians grow further away from their country, so do their love and zeal for their nation. Other Indonesians also long to make a difference for Indonesia, yet they struggle to find ways to do so since they are far from home. Our hope for this year's OMC goes beyond inspiring the attendees. We hope they will leave the event feeling empowered and equipped with the necessary resources to implement positive changes effectively and impact their country. We believe each of us has been placed here for a purpose, and, as Indonesian Christians in America, we can make a difference not only for Indonesia but also for the glory of His name.
